15Our story
Why we started
We want meeting someone new to feel less like an interview and more like a good afternoon out.
Swiping is quick, but it rarely tells you whether you’d actually get on. Padel does. It gives you something to do, something to laugh about and a natural way to start a conversation, and it’s one of the most sociable sports there is.
So we put the two together, with a simple idea: get a room full of singles onto the court, look after them properly, and let the chemistry take care of itself.
30What we do
Match Play, explained
Every event is an afternoon of padel with a new partner each game, built around meeting people rather than winning points.
- Play. Doubles games with a new partner every time.
- Mingle. Between games, chat with whoever you like. No timed rounds, no assigned tables.
- Unwind. Keep the conversation going over drinks once the games are done.
- Match. The next day, privately choose who you’d like to see again. Only mutual choices are shared.

Starting in Surrey, heading further
We’re starting with First Serve at Hurlands Pickleball + Padel Club, Farnham. Once we’ve proved the format there, we’ll take Match Play to more clubs across London, Surrey and Hampshire.
