What is padel speed dating?

Matched X Singles is a padel speed-dating event for singles in Surrey, UK. You play a minimum of six games of mixed doubles and have 20 three-minute speed dates, then privately pick who you’d like to see again.

How it works on the day

  1. Arrive and check in

    Welcome drink, wristband, quick intro. Meet the other singles before you step on court.

  2. Play

    A minimum of six games of mixed doubles, about ten minutes each. New partner and new opponents every game.

  3. Date

    Three-minute speed dates between games. Bring your best opening line, or just talk about that rally.

  4. Finale

    King and Queen of the Court, prizes and a group photo.

  5. Drinks

    The bar’s open, so keep the conversation going.

What is padel speed dating?

Padel speed dating mixes social padel with speed dating. At Matched X Singles you play a minimum of six games of mixed doubles with a new partner each time, and between games you have three-minute speed dates. Afterwards you privately pick who you’d like to see again.

How does the matching work?

Within 24 hours of the event you tick who you’d like to see again. If they ticked you too, it’s a match and we send you both each other’s contact details. If not, nothing is shared.

Where in Surrey is it?

Our events take place in Surrey. We’ll always run events outdoors in warmer months, and indoors or under cover in colder months. We’re revealing the venue soon, so join the waitlist or follow @matchedxsingles to hear first.

Do I need padel experience?

Some padel experience is recommended so you can get the most out of the games. A host on every court keeps it fun and helps things run smoothly.

Do I need to bring a friend?

No. Come solo or with friends — both are welcome.

What do I wear and bring?

Comfortable sportswear and trainers. Rackets and balls are provided.

How much will it cost?

Under £50, with early-bird prices for people on the waitlist.

What if I can’t make it after booking?

You can transfer your ticket to a friend of the same gender. Refund terms will be confirmed at booking.

Is it safe?

Everyone’s 18+, there’s a host on every court, we have a code of conduct, and contact details are only ever shared on a mutual match.

Is it straight-only?

Our first events are mixed doubles with equal numbers of men and women. LGBTQ+ events are on our roadmap. Join the list and tell us you’re interested.
